Title: Network Approach to Psychopathology

Network analysis has recently gained lots of interests in clinical psychology research, particularly psychopathology. The network approach to psychopathology conceptualizes mental disorders as networks of mutually interacting symptoms. In this view, symptoms are not reflective of underlying latent categories or dimensions, but rather are elements of mental disorders. First, I will give a brief introduction to the theoretical framework of this new conceptualization. Then, I will review some of the current research on topological properties of these networks, defining dynamics on these networks, and their interpretations for etiology and treatment of mental disorders. Finally, some examples from the psychopathology literature will be given
