Yaser Kerachian is the Commercialization Manager at York University in Toronto, Canada. He holds a PhD degree in Physics from University of Toronto (2006), and a MBA degree from Wilfrid Laurier University (2013). He received his B.Sc. in physics from Sharif University of Technology (1999). He worked in different roles at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Canada, dealing with the commercialization of the university’s research, and then later at Iranian Business School (IBS) as Director of Academic Programs. From 2001 to 2003, he served on the executive committee of the Iranian Association at the University of Toronto. Yaser co-founded Knowledge Diffusion Network in 2004.
Mohammadreza Shadnam is a manager at R&D incentive group, a technology, development, and research consulting practice within the KPMG. He is a Professional Engineer and has been in contact with technical side of tens of companies in his current position. His research areas are micro/nano surface science/engineering and mechanical and mathematical dynamics and stability. He completed a Ph.D. in the Surface Engineering and Instrumentation Laboratory at the National Institute of Nanotechnology. He has also received a Ph.D. degree in Structural Engineering (Structural Dynamics) from Sharif University of Technology in 2002. He has presented in relevant conferences and he has reviewed manuscripts for Journal of Physics, International Journal of Mechanics of Solids, Nanotechnology, Natural Science (current editor) and Applied Mathematical Modelling. He has contributed over 40 peer reviewed technical publications, 55+ (invited) talks and panel discussions to professional & technical communities. He has served on the General Faculties Council, Graduate Studies and Research Council, University Bursaries and Emergency Funding Appeals Committee and the Budget Advisory Committee at the University of Alberta until 2006.
Ali Zuashkiani is the Director of Educational Programs at at the Centre for Maintenance Optimization and Reliability Engineering (C-MORE) at the University of Toronto, and has years of practical experience combined with a strong scientific background in optimizing asset management decisions. His recent endeavors include several life cycle costing management projects for utility and gas distribution companies in North America and several assignments dealing with asset management practices in 20 plants in the Middle East and South America. Dr. Zuashkiani was named by the Asia Society as one of the world’s most dynamic young leaders in 2008. He is also recognized by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader of 2013. He has received his PhD from University of Toronto and his BSc from Sharif University of Technology. He is one of the co-founders of Knowledge Diffusion Network, and International Association of Iranian Managers.
